Hey guys,

I assume everyone who applied this cycle got this email from AACOMAS right now. But for those who didn't.

Please review the following information if you are thinking about applying to the 2016 AACOMAS application cycle.

We are pleased to announce that on May 5, 2015, we are launching a new AACOMAS application system for the 2016 application cycle. We initiated this change as a result of shifting dynamics in newer technology and association business needs. This new application system has many exciting enhancements, such as:

· Mobile access to check your application status and notifications

· Easier coursework entry

· An optional coursework entry service

· Quicker application processing times

· The ability to submit letters of recommendation through AACOMAS

Your 2015 AACOMAS application will not rollover in the 2016 application cycle. To prepare for the launch of AACOM’s new application system, please be aware of the following important updates:

· You will not have access to your 2015 application after 11:59 EST on April 30, 2015. We strongly encourage you to save/print off a copy of your current AACOMAS application before this date.

· You will need to re-submit all transcripts and documents. Please refer to the new 2016 application instructions (available online in early May) for updated mailing address information.

· AACOMAS will now be able to receive and process letters of recommendation directly through the AACOMAS Evaluator Portal. As in prior cycles, letters may still be received from VirtualEvals, Interfolio, and USPS mail. Letters submitted through AACOMAS will be bundled with your application. Letters submitted through VirtualEvals, Interfolio, USPS, or other sources as directed in application instructions must be sent directly to the schools you’ve applied to and will NOT be bundled with the application.

· Military and foreign coursework will no longer be verified by AACOMAS nor included in the verified GPA calculation. AACOMAS will still collect these transcripts and evaluations and make them available to the schools you’ve applied to for review. WES, along with other foreign transcript evaluators, will process foreign transcripts and forward them to AACOMAS.

Please look out for more updates on www.aacom.org, the AACOMAS Facebook page, and Twitter. Should you have questions, please contact [email protected].

Does this mean people with letters already saved on interfolio can send their letters to aacomas letter service ? I'm confused since they stated people using the other letter service still have to send it themselves to each school .

Any clarification would be appreciated !

Yes you can send your letters to AACOMAS, and then presumably not have to pay $6.00 for each school you send them too. Sounds like a good thing to me. I would still use interfolio tho. It makes collecting and dispersing letters so much easier, cause your evaluators send it to them anytime they want, and you are allowed to attach ID's and all that stuff later. Professors get so confused with electronics it is just better to make it as simple as possible, i.e: send a good letter with my full name to interfolio, don't worry about the numbers, I will attach later.

Thanks , this answered my question .

Source HandsomeRob? What swolebrah sourced seems to be saying otherwise. I'm still not confident that you are correct, although I REALLY hope so!

I am applying MD and DO and one of my recommenders just sent in a LOR to AACOMAS with my AMCAS and Letter ID. AACOMAS is now saying I can't delete it because it's already sent. Is there any thing I can do at this point to fix it?!
Nervous that this will affect my DO application greatly.

Does anyone know how we can send our interfaith letters to them?

Same question, how do we add AP credit in ?

I am so confused; how do we add our AP credit in?
After you finish putting in your transcript, it asks you to finalize transcripts and it gives you an option to put in any AP/IB/Retake credits!

Also as long as you do not e-submit, you are able to edit and revise your transcript entries at any time!

Cool, for course number and course name, course number should be the course number on my transcript (Ex: Calculus 1 is MATH 1721 for my school), but then for course name, should I do: AP Exam: Calculus BC, or the official name of the course that I got credit for at the U? (Called Calculus I)

Thanks!

Hopefully someone can help you with this since I didn't take any AP classes, just saw the option to put them in

Can someone please tell me how to print off the AACOMAS application. I completed it and submitted it, but I can't find where to get a PDF.
