Alright guys. we've all been waiting for these moments to come. Let the community know which schools you applied to and if you heard back for interviews... I believe this info will be beneficial for all who are applying!!..

I applied to NOVA only..non degree...3.66 GPA...3.45 Science...340 AA 350 TS..haven't heard back yet

I applied to SCCO only. GPA : 3.125, science GPA: 3.0 i think, OAT AA: 360, TS: 350. I called them two days ago and found out my OAT scores came in, yesterday I got a letter saying I got an interview 🙂 Wish me luck

So far in the past two weeks, I have submitted completed applications to ICO (9.23.08), NOVA (9.23.08), NECO (9.29.08), and PCO (10.2.08) (missing my essays for PCO only)... each is the date in which all necessary parts were submitted.

parts of my applications have gone out to SCCO, SCO, and SUNY.

Today, I received an invite from ICO. GPA 3.1 AA340, TS 360.
Also I am from NY.

I applied to IU, SCO, and UAB. I have interviews on October 6th, October 10th, and October 24th, respectively.

Applied to UHCO, PUCO, & ICO. I got an interview from ICO =D! Haven't heard back from the others yet.

I have pretty average scores, not as competitive as everyone elses, but sent everything in very early.

Remember that once SCCO invites you for an interview, your grades are no longer a factor in their decision regarding admission.

Good luck! Any questions about the SCCO interview just PM me.

I've only applied to SCCO and will interview there on 11/15.
My stats are: GPA 3.6, TS 360, AA 340.

Well I applied to SUNY and PCO.. planning on applyingn to NECO soon..
Interview with PCO late october and SUNY told me retake my OATs..( 320 AA and TS.. told me to aim at 340s) GPA:3.0

Despaill, I'm in the same situation as you with SUNY. I have an undergrad gpa of 3.2 and masters gpa of 4.0 but a lower OAT score than yours.. they e-mailed me the day I submitted my app asking me to re-take the OAT so I'm going to late Dec. Good luck at your PCO interview!!

Thanks!!!
Hey.. when you scheduled your OAT.. were there any Nov. dates available or were they all in Dec? I know we all take it at diff. centers, but maybe I can get an idea...

i doubt you run into problems if you schedule a month in advance; i just changed mine to mid november and they had plenty of room.

Is it strictly grades that are ignored once you're invited for interview, or OAT, LOR, essays as well?

Is it strictly grades that are ignored once you're invited for interview, or OAT, LOR, essays as well?

As far as I understood, once you were invited for an interview, all applicants were considered equal. I don't think they really look much past the interview. I would say the GPA and OAT are tossed aside. Since they read my essay prior to my interview, they asked me a few questions about what I had said in the essay. We just talked about work experience in the clinic and volunteer work. They might ask you about LOR and how you know them (or perhaps why you believe they said such nice things about you), but they never asked me these questions.

To give an example of how quick the process is there: I interviewed at 3:30pm on a Friday afternoon in March last year. After my interview, about halfway through my tour (at ~5pm), I saw my interviewer going home for the weekend.

They sent me an e-mail at ~10am Monday morning offering me a position. So either my interviewer let them know that afternoon or in the morning that he liked what I had to say, so I assume there was not a total review of my application.

What I am trying to say is that I believe once they ask you to come down, the interview is all that matters.

Applied to SCCO, WU, ICO, PCO, NECO, mid-september, have interviews for all of them. Already had interview for WU and acceptance letter, next interview is October 31. My stats are 3.3, 340. Still dont know why everybody only puts there stats, because mine are pretty average, but I still got interiews to all the schools I applied to. I think a big part is how you write your essay, LOR's and how you sell yourself to the admissions committee.

As for the final decision, the admission committee meets agian, review all the information including interviewers notes.

I applied to UAB and UHCO with stats of GPA:3.3 OAT: 330. UHCO recently accepted me without an interview for Fall 2009 and I believe my participation in their summer research program (TEXOCOP) helped out a lot with that.

I applied to PUCO, WU, PCO, and SCO and was invited to interviews at all of them. I went to interviews at SCO and WU and was accepted at both. I agree with kengani, I think LOR and the essay play a huge part!

Applied SCO, IU, NECO, UAB, and Ferris in October of 08

GPA 3.25
OAT AA: 340
OAT TS: 350

I called SCO they said they would invite me for an interview but I have nothing official, Ferris ended up losing transcripts so I'm sure I'll be at the bottom of their pile.

as of 11/25/08 I haven't heard anything back yet. :scared:
