New application cycle

The guy at AAdsas said may 19th. It's May 19th! It should be up!

Do you guys know if dental schools consider the workload more or the quality more to post-bac students? I emailed several schools and they told me GPA is more important than how many courses I take per semester. What do you think about the workload?

I don't think they give much of a hoot about workload. I've seen post-bac takes one easy class and gets A and getting into top notch schools. I've also seen post-bac cheats like crazy (so desperately) getting into top schools. 🙄 🙄

Just keep your GPA and your DAT number high. Everything else would be forgiven.

I'm afraid it's all about the numbers.

Adcomms will take into consideration special circumstances and intensity of the undergrad program, but in the end they have to have numbers that make the school look good. 🙂

My advice would be to load up on moderately dificult science courses. Not bio for non-majors and not p-chem, just moderately challenging classes that you know you can ace if you apply yourself.

Thanks Tinker 😉 Have you done your final yet? The end of May is like crazy for all students. Hope the nightmare can disapprea quickly.

Supernumerary. Thanks for your reply. As you mentioned, I also think D schools want "the numbers" to make them look good in "Offical Guide To Dental Schools." Ha..ha..
