I am 3 weeks away from my exam.

I started looking at my dat destroyer book. I got the 2009 version from my friend. Should I invest in the newer version? Are they really different?

2009-->2013 is a much bigger jump than, say, 2012-->2013... I think from 2011-->2012 (which is what I used), there were about 20 new questions per section... so if that trend was the same year to year, 2013 should have about 80 new questions per section.

2009 is somewhat outdated for a standardized test prep material. The science behind it will definitely be the same, but format/difficulty/volume may be different.

Don't chance it. Get the new Destroyer. It's amazing how some questions appeared on the real DAT

I have both the 2009 and 2012 versions. IMO, they are identical though I did not check every single question ( who has time for that?). If it is up to me, I would spend the money on the Achiever instead.

You absolutely don't need it.

I used the 2008 version recently and got 29 GC, 27 OC. If you used the 2009 version and you do poorly, it won't be because of the book.

2009 will probably have different questions than 2013 but they will probably be around the same difficulty/concept. If you can do destroyer questions from 2009 and know about the concepts behind each question then you should have no problem tackling the new questions from 2013 version.

Like someone else suggested, if you really want to challenge yourself, try achiever.

I just bought it!! And for those of you who are planning to buy the destroyer, go ahead and buy an older edition. you will save so much money if you buy it on amazon or something.

the 2009 and 2013 version are almost identical!

im slightly upset that i spent so much money buying a new one that is so similar to what ive been using.

the problems and explanations are identical, its just in a different font.
