I got en e-mail a while back saying that after January of 2007, someone is only allowed to take the DAT up to three times. Does this mean the rule goes into effect January of 2007? Because I've taken the DAT already and am planning on retaking it next week. Not saying that I'm not confident, but say I score low in a category (ex. 13 in RC), I am only allowed to take it again once more? Or does everyone have a clean slate in January and only allowed three attempts regardless of what happened in 2006?

dude don't consider the "what if's"...you're only setting yourself up for failure if you do. you are gonna DESTROY that exam so it wont even matter how many times the limit is, right?

a positive mental attitude goes a long way... 👍

the ada website tells you all about the new policy. from what i read it looks like it's ok to take it your 4th or 5th time without permission up until jan 1st. after this date, you need special permission for any attempts after your third attempt. and they count all attempts even before the effective policy date.
