New DAT software, the KSF Review

I've been viewing the forums for a while now, and decided to post for a change. I just bought this new DAT and PAT software from www.theksfreview.com . I guess this is a new company. I just wanted to post my experience.

Honestly, I think this is the best software out there, I just took a few of the biology sections and PAT sections and this is some good stuff. I was kind of getting concerned since they were having issues with their registration keys, but once that was resolved it was smooth sailing.

I bought the Dental Suite, which consists of a DAT program, PAT I program, and PAT II program.

So far everything looks good. The best feature I think is that every time you take an exam it randomizes the order of the question so you get a good mix and instead of memorizing questions you never know what question will come up next, unlike Topscore which is only 3 exams and once you finish them you are done, and if you try to do them again, you just remember the answers.

Also, this software contains Full explanations of every Science question. The price is reasonable too, right now they are having a special buy two software titles (which i got DAT usa, and PAT I) you get PAT II for free. Heck each PAT CD has 450 questions. Technically, the amount of tests are limitless, since each time you go in and take an exam it randomizes the order.

Yah, I think so. the KSF Review is a good buy. I wonder what the KSF stands for? Just finished taking the keyhole exam. Some of the stuff is hard. I did cube counting a little while ago, wow...it is like a weight lifting for your head. hopefully it will pan out. I messed the the software, i did one of the pat training sessions, then when finished clicked on the same session again and again and it was a totally different test, some of the questions i recognized but they were in different order, each time.

I just purchased the package as well. I haven't used it yet but I paid for it by credit card and downloaded it to my computer. I looked at the application, and so far it looks easy to navigate! To me, it's like, what the hec....I can use whatever resources that I can get my hands on. I wouldn't be surprised if this one is the best one out there just by their website and from their application. They also have a $20 guarantee for any mistakes. I'm not ready to take any of the practice exams yet but as soon as I finish one, I'll post what I think. I paid $100.00 altogether for the DAT, PAT I, and PAT II.

How does this compare to the real thing or topscore since topscore has the closest type of problems that the real dat has. how is their the pat section are they difficult like people say the real test is or are they easy thanks. Also could you elaborate more on how the program is compared to others thanks.

I also bought the suite (DAT, PAT I and PAT II) for $100. The initial emails confirming purchase were received immediately, but the registration links didn't work (not sure if that is by design, or not). I e-mailed them that night around 8:30 pm eastern time and was quite surprised to get a personalized response right away, saying that I'd have the registration links within 12-24 hrs. I got the links and downloaded the software with no problems. It looks like nice software. I haven't done any of the practice tests yet, because I'm not to that stage of my review yet. Haven't done any Top Score either. However, I'm guessing that these guys will be competing with Top Score. The software seems much better than Dat Acheiver, Ace the DAT, etc. I will try to write a review and maybe compare them with Top Score, Ace the DAT, etc in a couple weeks. 👍

I don't know,, I don't think it is worth the $100. But then again, there aren't many materials we can practice from anyway,,, so it is really up to you. For example, the Kaplan's blue book has errors in the PAT, and the Barron's book and many errors in their PAT as well. But there are only few books available for us..

Just an update for everyone:

I spoke with one of the partners at KSFReview last evening and seem like a real nice and helpful guy. He assured me that secure link for payment (SSL/https) will be up and running by Monday or early next week. But if someone wants to download the software, he is more than happy to take payment over the phone and send the link for downloads.

Once I install and try this software, I will post my review.

I totally agree with you. I have seen so many mistakes. QR has mistakes too. $100 is way too much for a product that is full of mistakes. I think I am making them bankrupt. ;-)

Do not waste time presenting those errors to the publisher. Are you worth only $10-$20 per question as a future dentist? Spare those precious hours to better prepare yourself for the DAT and leave this nasty job to the one who created it... just a word of advice 🙂

Very sorry to hear about the numerous errors, I was hoping this was going to be a good, error free study program. 🙁

I really wish that Examkrackers would start selling books focused on the DAT...I think their products are very good and mostly error free.

Good point. I have stopped doing it. Funny thing: they claim each section of the test is written by people who got perfect scores !!!! Their mistakes are quite obvious even to people who score 0.
