Just finished my DAT today 3/11 and it feels GREAT to be done!!!!!!

I think I am probably one of the first to test out the new version, so if you are curious, here's what there is.

I did not have any strike out or highlight features.
The calculator was just like the one they feature in the DAT brochure, or in your computer's accessories. It is only on the QR.

I didn't practice using the calculator, but used it a little on the test for the QR, when my brain was tired. I don't actually know if it made much difference, maybe saved a few seconds here and there. A lot of the questions are based on manipulations rather than calculations, like the practice tests. Difficulty level was about the same as the Crack Math, Top Score and Achiever Practice tests, not too bad. 🙄

I have a quick question regarding the new test format.

Were you able to use the Num Lock pad using your keyboard instead of having to click on the numbers on the screen?

what kind of biology question did you get? how did you prepare for the o-chem and gen chem section? and have you used crack DAT for PAT before? if you have were the keyhole, holepunching, were similar to the real thing?

I took the DAT today as well. To be honest, I forgot I had the calculator. Most things you can estimate close enough without it. I was disappointed not to have the strike-out feature - I had gotten used to it on Achiever and liked it. The highlight feature wasn't there either, but you can highlight the RC passages just as you can a word doc etc. anyway. I'll do a breakdown soon.

I wonder if my 17RC and 13 QR would improve if I took the test again. We'll have to wait and see if higher QR scores are reported
