Hey,
I've noticed on several posts scattered around this forum regarding the subject of a new GPA formats by AADSAS. I decided to group everything here - hope thats O.K.
For those of you who havn't heard of this, it basically consists of the following:
Biology GPA
Chem GPA
Physics GPA
BCP GPA
Other Sciences GPA
Non-Science GPA
and Cumulative GPA
I had a few qustions, does the 'Other Sciences GPA' include ONLY math and other 'kind-a-like science courses' like nutrition. Or, is it a comprehensive GPA that includes not only the aforementioned classes, but also those computed with the BCP GPA?
I hope my question is not confusing! By the way, the new format of the GPA calculations really spreads the light on my BCP gpa, here's how:
My BCP gpa is a 3.28, however this GPA does little to express how well I've done in my Biology classes (which I have), therefore, my Biology GPA is a 3.40 🙂 However, with the good comes the bad, and my chemistry and physics GPA's are 3.01 and 3.08, respectively 🙁
I'm actually in favor of this new format, since it really sheds light on where students excelled in, and where they didn't. And if they didn't in, say, Chemistry, a high DAT score on this section may validate the student!
