Hi,

I am a resident in Texas, however I attended University of Minnesota School of dentistry. I recently graduated last week. My question is that is it possible to apply for two dental licenses right now? Are there any special requirements? I am planning to go back and forth from Texas and Minnesota every other year. Should I apply for Texas first and then Minnesota? I have heard from my colleagues that applying for multiple licenses straight out of dental school is easier than applying 1-2 years down the road? Is this true??

Thank you!

I just graduated and have applied for 4 different state licenses. The main downside is more money spent and more effort to maintain each of them.

It’s only easier because when you apply for a new license you’ll need to request a letter from each state you already have a license saying you’re ok. Not a big deal, most states it’s an easy electronic request form, just tedious.

Every states licensure requirements are different.
