Hi everyone,

I am about 6 months to graduation. I am currently looking for practice opportunities in British Columbia. Currently there is an opportunity and I plan on visiting the practice next month. If everything goes well (assuming both the hiring doc and I like eachother 😀 ) i plan on signing a contract to work as an associate.

Few questions:
1. how long is the term for a typical contract? as a new grad, i dont want to be held down for 2 yrs in case i don't like the practice! what are the terms usually if a contract needs to be broken?
2. what is the avg starting salary for an associate in BC?
3. Any advice for what to look for during my "visit" to the office?

any other pros/cons on working in BC would be greatly appreciated!
