hi all
i hope everybody would be more than happy to hear these news that ada has finally accepted to differentiate new and old pattern scores

here is a fwded message that i got from a friend

Hello all,

I just checked the new PASS institutional evaluation format, and I am
pleased to report that ADEA has provided separate entry grids for 'old
format' and 'new format' scores. Therefore, the difference will be very
clear to the program directors reviewing your application.

Have a good weekend.

hey v nice .. great to hear this finally !
n have they provided the separate grids for the students too so that we ourselves can compare?

no they didnt mention specifically but i have heard that we can add 5 more to our composite score to get an equivalent to that in the old pattern

even if ADA has agreed to differentiate between old and new pattern scores, it will be of no advantage as the people with high scores on old pattern got admission last year, so now the competition is between the new scores only.
and if you add 5 or 10 it will be added to all of us , so in the end playing field remains the same.....

As a note, I don't think the ADA has agreed to diferentiate between anything. The letter posted above is in regards to the ADEA, which is completely individual from the ADA.

The ADA administers the NBDE exams. The ADEA is an educational association that works with dental school and dental specialty program applications.
