Hi, everyone🙂 I'm VivaLasViejas, joining you from Oregon!
A little about me: I'm not a doctor, just a tired and not-so-young RN who occasionally likes to see how the other half lives😉 I'm the director of nursing services for a 42-bed assisted living facility and a moderator/assistant administrator for a leading nursing website. Now, I'm not here to stir up trouble, although I will defend nursing and nurses when the profession is attacked undeservedly; I'm here because I want to learn and grow. And who knows, maybe I can help you all understand us, too. 😀
On a more personal note: I'm also a wife of 28 years with four grown children, three grandchildren, four cats, a dog, and a house out in the country. I like to garden, read, write, surf the 'Net, talk politics, and enjoy life. My youngest daughter and her husband are currently serving with the 101st Airborne in Baghdad, Iraq; and as much as I hate the war, I am so incredibly proud of both of them!!!!!!
