An anesthesiologist has set the record... for most data fabricated.

Probably happened in anesthesia because the academic climate has been suffering for some time. Fewer people critically reading the journals, or repeating studies.

I've come to the conclusion that about 75% of the reseach done is garbage from the articles I've read in Anesthesia and Analgesia. Seems like a lot of these guys don't know basic statistics.

There was some Anesthesia clown a few years ago at Baystate Medical Center who thought fabricating data was a good way to bring in clinical money from the NIH.

Yep, thanks for reminding me of his name. I went to a lecture by him and questioned a result. He blew me off. He had that fake confidence type of personality I despise. I hope the aba stripped him of his board status. There needs to be a focus on professionalism.
