Perhaps I'm slow (or just haven't visited SDN in a week or so), but this is pretty big news: http://www.usmle.org/news/Scoresonline.asp

Does anyone have any information (perhaps from their school/deans) regarding when in August this will take effect?

They always release scores on Wednesdays. My dean's office had mine at some point before about 8:45 AM (that was the first time I checked that day, and it said my score had been reported) on 7/18.

Did any of the July test takers happen to get an email? I know it says phase out during August for the paper mail trail. Just wondering...

man you youngsters are lucky. sat score by mail, mcat by mail (painful), and step 1 by mail (even more painful). with my luck, step 2 scores will be sent out by email a month after i get my score by snail mail. *sigh* technology marches on, a little slower in some circles..

*edit - oh it looks like all the steps will be online. excellent!

Nice. set up your cell phone to get text message of score report emails and no checking SDN/usmle every week.
