Has any of the residents/attendings used the new Perez textbook?
i picked up perez once as a first year resident. chucked it behind devita and never looked at either ever again.
I have it. I also have the First , Third and Fourth Editions. I like the newest edition, from what little I've read of it. I've skimmed it over, usually in response to specific questions and issues. I like it. They've reorganized and revised much of it. They've expanded medical physics somewhat, but the brachytherapy section is still not quite as well organized as I'd like to see it. They've also added a chapter on radiation sensitizers. Thanks, Steph.
I too have an older edition of Perez I don't read frequently. I started my residency with Leibel, and now I read Gunderson for the most part. Perez is still valuable if these new textbooks just don't go deep enough.
However, I am actually wondering if anyone has tried the fifth edition of Perez that came out recently. Supposedly, a lot has changed from previous editions. (but then that's what they all say to sell newer edition of textbooks)
Thank you.
