I graduated undergrad in 2004 with 3.3 GPA in history. I took chem, calc, and bio last year at a local SUNY, and had a 3.6 overall. I will take organic and physics this fall, maybe in the Columbia post-bacc. Is it possible to apply for fall 2006 if I take the DAT's sometime in the beginning of next year; or, will I have to wait another year? Also, does dental college legacy carry any weight, or is that purely an undergrad thing?

Most schools have a Dec or January cut off date for the DAT. Regardless, waiting till then to take the DAT is way too late for the 2006 cycle. If you want to apply for the 06 cycle, you want to have the DAT done by August or September of '05 at the latest. As for as dental college legacy, I cannot tell you firsthand but I would say it wouldnt hurt but there are probably a number of people applying to the same school with a legacy as well. good luck 👍
