Hey guys,
I'm getting ready to take the DAT this spring and I have Bootcamp, the Princeton Review book, and DAT Destroyer 2014 Edition. I was wondering how helpful the DAT Destroyer and Bootcamp are now that apparently the QR section will have more statistics/probability? I just took a practice Bootcamp QR exam and of course I didn't finish (didn't answer 9 questions), but I scored a 20. I definitely think this is due to my good knowledge of algebra/calc/geometry/trig etc. and definitely not due to my knowledge of statistics. There were only a few stats/probability questions, which is why I'm wondering how else to prepare for this section without spending another $100 on Math Destroyer? I just feel like my score won't be the same on the actual DAT if there's more probability/stats. Thanks so much!

I just took the DAT two days ago so I cant really speak for what the dat is going to be like in the spring but my QR section was extremely straightforward, I ended up getting a 24 on that section. Some advice that I can give you is do a crap ton of problems no matter what kind. Buy the Math destroyer. I promise you it is going to be worth the $100, Go over the MATH destroyer like 5 times through. The first time you do it, you will find it really hard especially the last 3 tests but I promise you that it will prepare you for the real thing. Attack your weaknesses especially probability and geometry. i had only two questions about stats and they were super easy. Know your Standard deviation, variance and stuff. Look out for my breakdown later this week!

The ADA never said WHEN it would change. They just said 2015 was the year it will be "changed" If I recall, Ms. Nancy from DAT Destroyer said that the ADA has scheduled QR changes since 2010. I called the ADA and they said that we should not have to worry and don't change your study methods. The sciences are more important anyways.

Thank you so very much! Your advice greatly helped. I'll definitely buy it! Congratulations on your score 🙂

Thank you so much! So there won't be as much stats on it as they're hyping it up to be? Thanks again and good luck with whatever stage of the process you are at now 🙂

You're are welcome! I can't say for sure but if the ADA tells us not to change our methods, I'm going with them lol.
Thank you and best of luck to you too! 🙂
