Is It Possible To Become A Pharmacy Technician During HighSchool...? Or study to become one during high school?

How long will education take? What's the difficulty? How hard will it be to balance my time w/ pharmacy tehcnician education and my high schoo leducation?

Will the pharmacy tchnician education stuff be a part of my GPA? Is it in college?

I live in Canada. I MAY have plans to become a pharmacist or doctor in the near future...

I know I asked a lot of questions. But they should be really easy to answer...

I look forward to some good replies.

In the U.S., at least, you have to have a high school diploma to be a nationally certified tech by the PTCB. I have no idea about how it works in Canada, but you might be able to get a job as a cashier/clerk.

Most pharm tech programs are completely independent of your college GPA. Programs vary, but can take from several weeks to 1+ years.

To best of my knowledge here in USA, you dont need to go to school to become a pharmacy technician. You only need to pass and exam and be certified, and i even think there are some places who take you not certified and pay for your certification. At the pharmacy where i volunteer you have to be 18 years old. I am not sure about other places. Hope this helped!

I'm not too sure but I think pharmacy technician programs require you to have high school diploma first before enrolling. Correct me if I'm wrong. Also, the course you take would be much harder than those regular science courses in high school so you might not pass the exam.
