Hi I am brand new to SDM. I've been on it a few times while studying for the DAT for some really helpful material. I am a Junior at UNLV and getting ready to apply in June. My top school is Tufts University but I am not sure if my stats are good enough to get in. Also what schools would I have a good shot at? I would appreciate any advice or insight 🙂.
GPA: 3.52
sGPA: 3.5
my freshman year was rough but I have a very strong upward trend over the past two years (all A's except for 2 or 3 B's)
DAT:
Bio 25
GC 22
OC 24
QR 19
PAT 23
RC 22
AA 22
TS 23
I have 5 research publications in oral cancer and patient access to dental health services.
I have tutored for a year in all of the sciences at the tutoring center at UNLV
I am the supplemental instructor for organic chemistry at UNLV
I have done organic chemistry research for 8 months and oral cancer research at UNLV school of dental medicine for 2 years
I am president and founder of a student dental outreach organization at UNLV
I have 500 shadowing hours with a dentist
400 hours of dental related community service
3,000 hours of extraneous volunteer work.
Thank you so much again for any advice. I am completely open to critiquing and criticism, so honesty is appreciated =)
