New UWSA (40 question blocks) scoring

I heard last year that UWSA would overpredict. Lately I've heard they changed it up and it was getting more accurate. Then, they changed the blocks from 44 questions to 40 questions and now people are saying the scale is harsher.

I just took it and am very confused as how to interpret my score.

Trust your NBMEs- UWorld is still sorting things out.

Thank you. I am about to start dedicated and didn't want to use an NBME but am curious as to what my baseline is. The average score of the 4 sections was a 61%. Does this mean a 61% would be roughly equal to the average test taker (e.g. 230)? That seems off...

The curves on the real exam are much different, as the difficulty of the questions is much different.

I would say don't worry too much about the scoring. It is a great resource that you can learn a lot from since it has explanations unlike the NBMEs. So just focus on what you missed and why and read all the explanations. If you want to put emphasis on scoring, then take the NBMEs.
