new wag delivery, anyone done it yet?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
So now we will be treated like a pizza delivery driver? Is it free if we don't deliver within 30 minutes?

I dont see this as going in a bad direction. That's prescriptions filled and picked up by customers you dont have to deal with in the store. That should free your techs to do more important work.

I anticipate this will create more work and phone calls to deal with. I bet the drivers will be late, get lost finding the place, be late or call out.

Customer: "Where's my delivery???"
Pharmacy: We have to call the driver, we'll call you back. ::Call driver, then call customer again and repeat 5min later::

Customer: "Where' my delivery???"
Pharmacy: You never signed up for delivery, it will be there tomorrow.
Customer: "Yes I did! I demand that it's delivered now!"

It's FedEx. No delivery driver. You can look up tracking number in the system (for the life of me I can't remember what it's called right now).

Hahahaahahahhahahahahahahaa.

Ask any independent pharmacy if their delivery patients are more or less work.

LMFAO, had a guy ask me if I have delivery service for him @ like 2am the other night...yeah, let me close the store, drive my car to god knows where in the dead of night because I totally have nothing else to do...fast food pharmacy...now specializing in pizza delivery niche (><).

I’d like my metformin with a side of Pepsi please.

I think this is a bad idea. At my Walgreens (I'm a tech), I already have a lot of patients that cannot wait for their medication to be delivered (insurance does mail prescriptions). Or they come in early and ask for refills and the insurance rejects it and I tell them its coming in the mail and they say its not....

I also heard there is a delivery fee? Good luck getting people to pay the delivery fee. I get yelled at when medicaid charges $3 copay

The most annoying thing in the world:

Delivery customers who drive to the pharmacy to drop off the script.
