I just scheduled my interview with NYU. Am I supposed to get a confirmation email after? If so, how long does it take?
Yup! I called today around 9:30am and received the email like 40 minutes after!!!
I scheduled it for Oct 2nd! What about you!?
good luck! 🙂 just remember to be yourself, one thing i've realized is that they just want to have a simple conversation with ya. i've heard NY interview is pretty laid back 😉I'm here right now. Interviewing tomorrow.
I'm here right now. Interviewing tomorrow.
How were the Buffalo Chicken Paninis!?
Just had the interview today
It was really short - i think everyone's was about 10-20 minutes, so i don't know how to really gauge if mine went well or not haha
Other than the interview the school was great - facilities are top notch and look brand new. Dr. Mejia is a very cool and sincere person, and stayed with us til the end. Contrary to popular belief, the students there said they loved the school.
I met fsddsms - a really cool guy and fellow UC Irvine/Anteater; and a lot of other cool people from diff. states
The steak sandwich is pretty good if you interview there - pile your plate cause they pay for it!
If I were to give anyone my greatest tip for NYU, it would be the following.
- Save your stomach cuz they feed you the best friking food ever.
JUST a heads up for anyone packing:
MAKE SURE YOU REMEMBER TO BRING A passport sized PHOTO!!!! =D
and a camera
just some of the things i almost forgot 🙂
if anybody is in town for the friday interview, I WILL SEE YOU SOON =D
and if you would like to chill on friday afternoon-night, let me know 🙂
Dude, they have dunkin donuts! =D
I know I had mentioned this earlier -- but check out Hotel 17 if yall are looking for cheaper options
And I dont mind letting yall know how it went... if you read back on this thread, a fsddsms/someone else has already talked about it ---- laid back, 10-15 min interview (gah, i spent so much $$ for just 15 mins, yikes! haha), show you around the school (which by the way, is a big gray building that has a purple NYU banner sticking out from one side), etc.
People seem really friendly... i went to see how far it was -- so i know how to get there tomorrow--- and i talked to random DS students (they were wearing scrubs, so it was easy to pick em out =D)
And i was a little skeptical about NYU and what people were saying (too many students, if they were happy, etc) and the DS kids seemed fine with it. I mean yeah, they were on 4 hours of sleep but thats normal for every school. They said that even though the lectures are huge, they get divided into smallller groups --so you will get attention 🙂 and ofcourse the $$ is a big issue- and yeah, i dont think there is a way around that one. haaa. WELL, wait, they commuted --to save money on housing. but then, you lose time in traveling. Either way, you lose out on something.
ANYWAYS, hope that helped...for right now i guess.
I am off to some yummy food.
