Does anyone know of any program where you can receive your masters (like georgetown) in the city? thank you or can anyone give me some information on Hunter and what it offers? thanks

NYU has a one year master's in biology program that i'm currently crushing. they let you take a certain number of hours at the med school and the grad school of biomedical sciences. it is definitly neither cheap nor easy but i am definitly enjoying it and feel like it will give my application a boost (or at least temporarily draw attention away from my undergrad gpa).

Columbia has a Masters in Applied Anatomy and Physiology.

Although NYC as a variety of master's programs in biology and health related disciplines, it seems to me it really does not have any special masters similar to Georgetown.
Hunter offers masters in Biology as well as Biochemistry. The core courses are offered in the evening. Since they are lecture courses they do not close out. (There are also research opportunities.) As long as one has taken the GREs & as a reasonable science background, you can take them as a non-matric. Hunter also offers a master's in phar research based at Mt. Siani. Many people take these courses to enhance their Med scholl applications.
Although one can do some good learning in these programs that will help you, I think there is nothing quite like a Georgetown-like smp designed to get people into Med School.

UMDNJ in Newark offers a med school based masters that is pretty much directed at Med school applicants. There is an on going thread in this forum. People seem to hate the administration there but, hey, the education is solid. Doing well there will should get you there.
NYMC in suburban Westchester also offers a masters in basic medical science. Their program seems more research based.
I'm always surprised that NYC with its many Med schools does not offer a real Georgetown-like smp. But hey you'll love Newark.
