hi,
I really need some guidance regarding prepration for DAT, i am doing my B.S with major biology and by next year end i will be transfering to a univ where i will complete it , now my question is when is the right time to give my DAT exam?
and what all do i need to prepare for DAT.

another thing i am not clear about is that while applying for to a dental school , apart from your GPA and DAT scroe , what all factors are counted towards Addmission?

Would be great if some can guide me in the right direction

Get the thick kaplan DAT book to prepare for the DAT or register for the Kaplan course.

Other factors beyond grades and DAT are your experience with dentistry(volunteering, shadowing,etc...), your personal statement(background and why dentistry), and other extracurricular activities.

You should try to take your DAT in May of the year before you would start in dental school.

Factors considered are: DAT, GPA, Extracurriculars, Community Servce, Personal Statement, Letters of Recommendation, Personal Interview, Residency (in state schools), Dental Experience, Research, and more.

Different schools value slightly different things, so you should contact/or browse through each school's website. Hope this helps. 😀😉🙄
