Can someone please tell me how the admissions process at Pitt works? Am I correct in stating that they are non-rolling until March 15th and rolling after that date? If I have not yet received an interview, am I just being optimistic that I will get one at this point. For those of you whoi were there to interview what did they tell you about the process, and what else about stood out for you at the interview?? Thanks for any info that you can give me on this school, it will be my number one choice if given an interview/acceptance!!

I'll be interviewing there this coming friday, so I will post if/when I learn anything...but my understanding is that decisions are mailed out early March, and that after that they are mailed on a rolling basis. I would expect that the majority of acceptances would be given in March, and the function of the rolling admissions would be to fill the class to the extent needed (i.e. the number of rolling acceptances would depend on how many peeps respond to their March acceptances) I'm not sure if that is true, but we'll see...If you haven't gotten an invite yet I would call or write and tell them that they are your first choice and that you would love to interview there - it's getting to be kinda late in the season and if you really do see Pitt as your #1 choice it might be worth it to let them know and see if it helps.

I do have a question for you. What makes Pitt your top choice? Just wondering...

when i called i was told that they start rolling in feb.

browser crashed during my last sentence, so I'm keeping it short this time

at interview in Nov, told last days of Feb all files available complete will be reviewed and the following Monday we should start getting our notifications.

jargon and others, post any differences. This is my last response post-interview and it would save months of worry on waitlists if this is an acceptance.
