I scanned my list and newsgroups about medicine don't seem to be very popular.

As you might imagine newsgroups are dominated by those wishing to file share.

Your best bet are websites such as this one with message boards.

Well I don't know it this is what you mean, but I get the weekly emails from MedScape.com and they have all kinds of stuff for physicians.

www.medscape.com

I would kind of think of them as a newsgroup.
