Hey everyone,

I'm working on my schedule for next semester. This semester was a bit rough and I had to take a W for family reasons. I'm going to be taking upper level chem next semester b/c I have to in order to finish all pre reqs on time. With that said, since it will be more intensive than this sem/I'm still dealing with medical issues, how bad would it look to take a P/F course?

I normally would be opposed to taking them but I can't find anything consistent on whether or not it's highly looked down upon? I'd be P/F this ecology/evolution class (listed as bio). It's not really med school material directly, but it is listed as bio nonetheless. I'm still taking anatomy, genetics, and cellular which I will ofc not P/F that.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

P/F is okay as long as you have demonstrated you know your stuff and got good grades. P/F doesn't usually count for pre-reqs tho.

@flapjack3d So do you think it'll be okay for this bio class? I mean it surely doesn't count for a bio pre req. I AP'd out of bio, but am taking biochem, anatomy, genetics, and cellular/developmental bio next semester/junior/senior year. Even though this class is listed as bio, would it really hurt me all that bad?

No, one p/F course will make no difference to your app
