I called and after a week or so, got an e-mail response. The checks won't be issued until the first week of Nov. and will include stipend payments for July-Oct., plus the book and travel money. Remember, the stipends are retroactive, so you get November's rent money sometime in December. Go figure. Book money may vary by school- mine is only $345- but my school's budget includes an absurdly small book allowance in the clinical years. I assume that the travel budget varies depending on how far your school is from your permanent address.
