HI all
thought I will share this case with you all.Patient reported with complaint of pain in the upper right 1st PM whenever he has an attack of cold/sinusitis.
The 2nd PM is extracted, but there is a small root piece remaining.
There is a bridge with 1st PM and 1 Molar as abutments.
1st PM has been RC treated.
The IOPA clearly shows the root of the 1st PM lying very close to the floor of the sinus and the periapical has extended into the sinus.
I will be re-doing the RC for 1st PM and have refered the patient to the ENT for a possible cadwel-luc.
Nice one eh?
