Does anyone know if night courses are offered in the area? I work full-time at a hospital and am completing the second of two graduate degrees. I'm looking to take orgo during the summer, but given my time constraints, I was hoping to find something after 3 PM or so. Does anyone know if orgo lecture is offered during that time at any of the universities in the area?

Thanks!

If you look at CUNY Hunter, they offer a Orgo class that typically starts around 6-7 in the fall. Not only that but its a good class with a good instructor

I looked but the CUNYs have nothing, as far as the summer goes. Snulma1 suggested Hunter in the fall, which is a possibility, but I worry it would delay my application...

For what entering class do you plan on applying?

Well I did apply for 2010, that didn't pan out. I'm hoping for 2011 now...

It's my GPA that's low (2.97cGPA, 2.94 BCPM), the rest of my stats I think are ok (MCAT: 31, 6 years of post-high school research experience, working on 2 masters, got 1 paper published, and currently working as a clinical research coordinator).

You applied without organic? Anyways, it's ideal if you take it asap, then you can send update letters to adcoms telling them your grade (you need A).

On another note, really try to break that 3.00 barrier. In terms of med school admissions, (3.00-2.99)>(3.10-3.09).

Did you check Stony Brook and NYU?

I had organic, I just did terribly because I fell very ill. I'd probably have to kill another year if I want to get to 3.0 though right? As it is, I've already taken 2 years out of college (now going on 3)...not sure if I can really do much more than that.

Neither Stony nor NYU had night classes, unfortunately. Same for Columbia, Hofstra, and Baruch. I can't think of any other place in the area...
