Anybody thought that the recent CK (after change) is nightmarish? I've heard about so many horrible experiences from recent test takers that I'm almost becoming incontinent now!! Test in three weeks! Do I postpone? I'm IMG, got to get a good score!! Or is it just scare mongering going on? Thanks

It's not bad at all. Just make sure you use your break time wisely and don't wig out on the 8th block. Just go for the gold and you'll be fine.

Oh and one more thing. Take USMLE World q bank. If you don't get at least 65% right on the q bank questions, you probably should postpone.

relax broseph. if you got through sept 1, then you'll do fine on step 2. i was convinced CK was gonna be ridiculous myself, but was pleasantly surprised come test day. UW will definitely prepare you and is harder than the real deal as far as i'm concerned.

It's SDN... people here freak out if they take a test and blame it on a "new format."

The new Step 2CK may have longer experimental questions given that they shortened the length of the test, but the test could not have dramatically changed as they write the questions early in the year.

Good luck :luck:

What's the "new change" for the CK everybody's talking about? And why is it "nightmarish"?

^^ Oh, ok thanks.

So why does that instill fear into people? Should I be scared, too? 😳

LoL

Oh please. I never did much better than 45% for CK or Step 3, and I still got perfectly respectable scores on both.

I took the new version and felt that it was hard. I had done UW & NBME #2. I can't say if it is any harder then the 46q version. I wouldn't sweat it because you can't do anything about it. Just Get through UW and take it. If it is harder, then everyone's raw scores should reflect it and you would end up with the same standardized score. I haven't got my scores back yet. Good luck

First I have less than three weeks to prepare for ck. Not finished with UW yet but currently at 58%. I know that is not 65% but I can't postpone it. So any advice? Am I screwed?
