Still, an interesting read. Excited that the NIH will receive almost $9 billion over the next five years but not sure how I feel about the lowered standard of evidence for drug approval at the FDA. It's not difficult to see how using "proxies" of conditions instead of long term analysis of the actual medical conditions could certainly prove detrimental. Isn't " first, do no harm" our mantra?
