NMR and IR

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
YES, know all the benchmark values for NMR and IR. If you've watched them, Chad's vids go over all the main ones (alcohol, amide, carbonyl, C=C, aromatic, etc. for IR and carbonyl, carboxylic acid, aromatic, double bond, single bonds, etc for NMR).

Hi
I have a question for name and Ir on the Dat we have to memorize the shifts for example from 10-12 it's a carbonyl group(hypothetically)THANKS

Yes, you need to know the common shifts for IR and Proton NMR. It would makes it easier and faster to solve a problem and identify the structure.

Hope this helps.
