I will be starting my medicine clerkship in a few days and noticed this book (NMS Medicine Casebook - Blue cover, author Dr Shah), which seemed pretty good just browsing through it. I haven't heard much about this book on SDN. Anybody who used this book have any opinions?

The NMS Medicine Casebook was the single best reference I used all last year during my clinical clerkships. That book was like having a secret weapon for the rotation - EVERYTHING on the shelf was covered as a case in this book. The case based format makes it much easier to go through than other books like step up. And unlike MKSAP (which I also used) each case walks you through how to manage every possible scenario that could be tested for a given disease. DEFINITELY, DEFINITELY recommend this book.

100% agree with the poster above. this book was gold. the algorithms are awesome and the case based format was great. easy read, too. i definitely say get it. you wont regret it

+1

This was by far the best resource for medicine. Used along with UWorld for studying = shelf exam success.
