Out of these two books, NMS Medicine vs. Step up to medicine, which one would you recommend for internal medicine shelf exam and step 2 prep?

Step up is my Bible. Only because it also has all the corrections and additional info I wrote in it. The day I lose that book... Massive ptsd.

I liked how our orientation for medicine Sub-I, the guy is like "Don't use step up. It's ****. Use Cecil or anything else."
Used step up with uworld and I had no complaints. Considering Ive had this book since second year, I can't say it's steered me wrong.

Uworld is a must have. I just want an idea of which book I should consider in addition to uworld.
It's honestly dependent on what helped you through second year clinical medicine. If you already have Step Up, use that and annotate what you find.
well,Considering Ive had this book since second year, I can't say it's steered me wrong.

Yeah. Sure, there are some mistakes/omissions on certain sections. But they leave ample room to make these notations. I think the weakest thing in that book would be medications... but that's only for treating infections.
