could somone please tell me how to get the answer for no. 51 on the survey of natural sciences section on the ada sample dat?


the answer is C but i dont know how to get it from the information given. thanks.

im not really sure how to work it but just by looking at the choices give, choice C is the only answer that has a balanced +6 charge on both sides...question is below:

during a titration it was determined that a 30ml of a .1 M Ce^4+ solution was requred to react completely with 20ml of a .15 M Fe^2+ solution. which one of the following reactions occured?

answer = Ce^4+ + Fe^2+ --> Fe^3+ + Ce^3+
