No email yet, but website says I matched! Congrats to all!

My "Match Results: Congratulations, you have matched!" came in at 10:55am CST. Over a year ago I gave up my career as a tenure-track professor to finally take the time and study for the Step 2 CS/CK. I took those, applied to hundreds of programs, and only got a couple of interviews. Having been out for a few years and having a fail on my record really hurt me. But I did everything I could, and finally today it has paid off. In tears. Cool story bro. 🙂

I received my email that I matched and opened a separate window to log into NRMP and even though the front page said "congrats, you matched", my SOAP status was "eligible"? which freaked me out, so then i checked it again by clicking on link in the nrmp email and the soap status went to "Ineligible"
anybody else got that? is that a glitch? crazy

Wow, I didn't expect such competitive specialties in SOAP. Good luck to everyone!

First off, congrats to everyone who matched, and best of luck to everyone taking part in SOAP--I wish the absolute best for all of you!

Regarding SOAP, I would be interested to see how many spots are available in different fields, just out of pure curiosity. Since I matched I can't see it in NRMP as far as I know. Is there any other way to find out?

go to my reports --> regional match statistics. It will break down how many positions went unfilled. Ortho and EM = 0 spots. Derm = 11, prelim surg 4000 billion, etc..

You can see general stats...login to nrmp and hit "my reports"
