Those are my stats above. I volunteered at a hospital, did some research and a few relief trips to other countries. I submitted my application back at the end of July/August and have heard nothing except a few rejections here and there.

I was wondering if anyone else was in the same boat, or if anyone could give me their opinion on my situation.

20 schools. 12 top 20, but ~10 safety/match

Any major red flags?
Quality of PS / secondaries?

How did you pick your safeties? Some "safety" schools (based solely on average stats of matriculants) are actually pretty competitive (i.e. GWU, Gtown, BU, Tulane) simply because they receive so many applicants. Do you have residency ties to any of your safeties?

What is your state of residency? I feel like you should have got some love from your state schools...unless you are from CA. How were your ECs? How long and what exactly did you do? Your succint post doesn't tell me much.

It seems that maybe your LORs aren't very good, your PS wasn't very good, you didn't spend much time on your secondaries, or you didn't frame your ECs well on the AMCAS. Judging by how little information you gave us, I wouldn't be surprised if one of the above was not done well.

I am from CA. I have good volunteer experience at a hospital as well and decent research. As for the quality of secondaries and primaries, I thought they were fine. Also no red flags at all that I could think of.

Is it not strange though to not have heard from any schools yet at this point?

Concur with this poster. Two things come to mind; either your application isn't complete or something didn't get transmitted (don't laugh; my state did NOT receive my e-filed state income taxes, but the feds did for the 1040...go figure) OR there is a huge red flag in the essays or somewhere else. Call some of the schools to see if your packet was received.

With stats like yours, I think it is a bit strange that you don't even have a single interview.. Did you have someone familiar with the application process read over your essays (e.g. a knowledgeable faculty member)? I originally thought my original primary was okay (was proofread by multiple people) but then a mentor who was familiar with the admissions process read it and pointed out all the flaws in my application. Maybe there's a red flag in your application that you aren't aware of? As Catalystik said, definitely call the schools that rejected you to see what went wrong.. Hopefully you'll hear back favorably from a school soon-good luck!
