For those of u who have applied 'early' or however u want to phrase it, and do not have any interviews or rejections.........is it just considered a silent rejection? ......and what r u guys doing in the meantime while waiting for any action to occur with ur app

Well I think a lot of schools don't actually "reject" many people until the winter, so in a way there are many silent rejections out there. With that said, at this point if you have no interviews, do not get worried. A lot of the interview invites come out in October and November. An acquaintance that applied last year had no interviews until Mid October, and after that he ended up getting 5 invites before December.

You could still be asked for post-Dec interviews. However, I applied to Columbia and I'm pretty sure I've been silently rejected considering my stats. Many of the other schools that I applied to haven't sent out any or most of their pre-Dec interviews so I think I'm still in the game. If it's late November and they haven't contacted you at all, consider it a rejection by Dec. 1st.

I'm in the exact. Same. Boat. I applied with the 8th batch to 23 schools -sadface- in early August. How "early" did you apply, if you don't mind me asking?
