No Interviews So Far...Should I be worried and What should I do as a plan B?

Apply earlier, and broader as others have said.

However, some people have dissed post baccs and I would have been one of those, once upon a time. However, now that I'm actually at LECOM, let me assure you that my classmates who were LECOM post baccs last year lead our class. They are much more confident and prepared than people who came in as traditional undergrads.

I still think that my DIY post bacc method was the most viable route for me personally, with my financial / family situation, etc. But if I had it do over, and I could afford it, knowing what I know now, I would not hesitate to do LECOM's post bacc program.

They're leading your class because they have a one year head start. I bet you that they will revert back to the equilibrium during 2nd year.

We will see.

That one year head start isn't to be pooh-pooh'ed so easily. There is something to be said about having a solid grounding in the basics when you face higher level material. People who have demonstrated a 10-20% better grasp of material coming out of first year are going to benefit from that during second.

Is that difference worth the expense in time and tuition? That is a fantastic question. Again, I say it depends on your personal situation. If you have the money to spend, and if you were going to be a marginal student otherwise, I think it is invaluable. I don't think that it is the only way, obviously. But part of the reason I've done as well as I have is that I have a lot of post-bacc friends to lean on. I'd say that is true for most of the class. When I say that the post-baccs are leading us, it isn't just in this years grades. They are the recognized and unrecognized leaders in our study groups, our clubs, and generally within the student body. That head start isn't trivial.

Check the Underdawg's Thread - realize that Goro says you should apply with a 3.0< sGPA / cGPA.

And I'll respectfully disagree with Goro on this one. You get auto-rejected pre-secondary with a cGPA or sGPA below a 3.25 at my school. I also applied in 3 different cycles and spoke with around 25 different ADCOM members. Every single one of them said my 3.2 GPA was the single biggest reason I was rejected. After I did an SMP and hit a 3.8 there I had multiple interviews my final cycle, including MD.

If you apply with a GPA below 3.25, you'll be lucky to get into a good DO school, and competitive at the ones I wouldn't recommend applying too...

I've experienced the same thing at my school. Almost done with second year and I know at least 2 people (maybe 3) in my class that are top 10 (out of 270) that were in the post-bac here. Almost none of the professors teach at the both the COM and the post-bac.
