Hello everyone,

I am seeing the "Accepted" post grow and grow, and while its great for the people who are on the list, its causing me to be worried about my situation.

Im applying to SUNY, ICO, NOVA, and PCO, and while I handed everything in (primary and secondary apps, oat scores), I still haven't heard from them

Am i in bad shape ?

You may have handed everything in, but are you sure that they received everything? You need to phone each school and make sure that your file is completed.

Another common source of this problem is a recommendation letter that is lagging because of a slow or lazy letter writer.

It's impossible to say without giving any stats, such as gpa/oat and also you should tell us when you actually applied? It does take at least a few days, often a few weeks, or even more after submitting a completed application to hear back about any interview invite. Also, don't be afraid to call the schools admissions departments to ask them about your application status, they are usually very helpful.

I wouldn't worry too much. When did you send in your application? For what its worth this is roughly how long it took for these schools to get back to me:

NOVA - 3 days after I sent in my supp
ICO - I got an invite about two weeks after I sent in my supp
SUNY - About two and a half weeks after I sent in my supp. The invite comes in regular mail so it adds on a few days.
Waterloo - I got an invite before the application deadline (I was under the impression that they send out all the invites all at once after the deadline)
NECO - 3 weeks and no word yet

My overall GPA was 3.82 (At a Canadian University) and my OAT score was 370 AA/390 TS if it makes any difference.

both ICO and NOVA should get back to you in 2-3 weeks. They are really good at their response times.

Thanks for the replies everyone.

I called all the schools I applied to, and they all received my application. However, I guess it is a little early to be expecting responses - I handed everything in (supplementary apps included) around 2 weeks ago. Also, I am on the low side of the GPA scale...

I'm pretty much in the same boat as you. Low gpa, but a pretty high OAT (91 percentile) Everything was officially mailed mid September. I got an interview with NOVA about two weeks ago. ICO sent me a supplemental a week ago and I just mailed it in today. Still waiting for UHCO, so cross ur fingers everyone =)
