hey guys. i'm getting a bit worried since I haven't heard anything from any schools yet. I applied to 22 schools. My application was delayed b/c it took forever for my DAT score to be sent to AADSAS. My file was complete 9/16/11.

Am I not supposed to have gotten any interviews pre-dec 1st?? Or am i looking at waiting after dec. 1st??

stats: 3.2 sGPA 3.3 cGPA.

Hey implants, I'm in the same boat as you are so don't worry about it (or we can worry about it together I suppose 😉 ).

As a matter of fact, I actually send out my AADSAS file the same date you did (9/16).

My stats are AA:21/TS:21/PAT:25 oGPA:3.58 sGPA:3.25

I have applied to 10 schools and have only heard back from 1 (buffalo) and they told me I was being placed under "continuing review" (and that was this past monday btw).

So, imo, I think we applied too late to get any pre-dec interviews (perhaps if we had outstanding stats it would be a different story). But, as I'm sure you've found out, anything can happen post-dec so don't despair!! (or try not to despair too much 🙂 )

September 16 is kinda late for a pre-december 1st interview. If your entire application is competitive (your stats are good enough), then I'm sure you'll get a post-dec 1st interview.

How crazy I also submitted my application the same day as both of you. My stats:

AADSAS mailing: 9/16

DAT: 22 TS, 21 AA, 22 PAT

GPA: 3.28 Sci, 3.38 cGPA

I am in the same both and have not heard ANYTHING. It sucks, but we will just have to wait it out. Though I did hear UoP, only that they will re-review my application in January.

If either of you two hear anything please post it here because I am curious when we will hear anything! Also are either of you Illinois resident?

I got the same Buffalo e-mail. "Continuing Review." I just wish I got my application in sooner... But, now we have to wait until after December!! G/l.

I am a NY resident. But I will def. let you know!! Our stats are very similar. Seems like we are in the post-dec. batch...

Well come january hopefully things will be looking up for us! Its funny, I read every thread on how to do well on the DAT, but sure did not find the one "SUBMIT APPLICATION BEFORE AUGUST OR YOUR SCREWED!" Thread, would have been nice. lol

My file was complete at about the same time as yours, and I'm pretty sure that you'll be getting a ton of interviews/acceptances after January.

Lol. It's funny how AADSAS stresses not to wait until December first until sending out your application. That's why you have little ole' me thinking, "Oh! I will be super smart and send out my application in September! I'll be way ahead of the game there 🙂"


It is indeed funny how we all have very similar stats and the same mail out date. What schools did you guys apply to? We should definitely keep each other updated!

You guys are worrying too prematurely. Look at my pre dents profile, which is very accurate in terms of my app date and the dates I had for interviews. I was in the same boat as you.

I heard from Columbia mid November for a dec interview, from Maryland Dec 22nd for an early Jan interview, and the rest ALL came throughout January for January/Feb interviews. I know it sucks but you guys need to be patient! Easier said than done though 😉

I agree with the guy who said you should be hopeful. Right now you are looking at late Nov or post-Dec interviews, which isn't a terrible thing given your stats. Hold in there. I am sure some schools would love to have you in their class.

I was at Midwestern-IL for an interview this Tuesday. The admissions counselor said there were 12 interview days pre-December (we were the 11th interview day) and they will not start interviewing until January again. Don't worry!

not to be too nosey, but what did UIC have listed on the AADSAS site for school decisions as its status ? just wondering because i applied late as well but for UIC it says "received/application complete" while other schools say "received/under review" so i was just curious as to which UIC had for you before you received the interview invite 🙂

That is what my status was before I received the interview invite for January 10th. It now says:

University of Illinois at Chicago (ILL) IL 12/06/2011 Invited for Interview Interviews are by invitation only.

Hey implants, what schools did you apply to? I also had my AADSAS app complete on 9/16 and applied to 14 schools, I only got one pre-dec 1st interview.
