I'm getting ready to apply for this cycle and I do have a solid letter from a surgeon and an intensivist but none from an anesthesiologist! One agreed to write but never got to it. I'm doing an anesthesia rotation starting on the second half of next month. Is this going to affect my chances in getting in?

This was a dissapointing thread title.

I was clicking on it hoping that it was some story about how the needle kept advancing with no LOR with a story to follow.

I think many programs REQUIRE at least 3 letters total. If you only have 2, regardless of who theyre from, you could be in trouble

Can't you remind the anesthesiologist about the letter? Just send him a friendly email telling him that the submission deadline is coming up and you're waiting on his letter.

I did one of my anesthesia months in September and was able to secure a letter. I would ask for 2 next month and hope one comes through (that's what I did). Also send the other guy a reminder email.
