I went to 8 pre-dec interviews and only heard back from 4 schools. For those 4 schools, am I automatically placed in waitlist or am I suppose to be notified of that? Should I call the schools tomorrow to find out or do you think it's too soon?

Contact the schools and ask! - That is the only way you would know.

Waitlist also depends on the schools you interviewed at.

At least it's not a silent rejection. I'm waiting on some letters of rejection to arrive. Ones I've not interviewed at and hasn't given any news whatsoever but cashed my hard earned money. My blood, sweat, and tears. *pounds fist on desk

What you are trying to say is that you were not satisfied with 3 acceptances, bucking for 8 and you expected the other results on Dec 3 and certainly no later than Dec 4.
