okey i was planning to take the exam in january , but i am thinking to go for the october exam and if i did not do well..i will choose the NO SCORE OPTION..will this hurt me ..how this option works...what if i take it more than once..will it show on my transcripts..is it good idea to go and have a look at the exam in october?

dude, you still have two months for oct test... just start preparing rite now because jan is your last chance for 08 admission.

If you want to be considered for Fall 2008 admissions, then you shouldn't rely on your January exam if your August PCAT wasn't good enough. Most schools won't take the January 2008 for Fall 2008 admissions, so you are putting yourself at a disadvantage.

I would work diligently to prepare for the October PCAT and decide then if you want to take the no-score. You have until the time you leave the testing location before to make a decision.

Oh....🙂

In that case, I would recommend taking it after you've taken all the PCAT-relevant courses. I would recommend taking the June one if you aren't planning to apply to Early Decision schools or the January one if you want to take a shot at ED. Either way, you don't want to rush yourself.

Do you need any certification to work as pharm tech? I plane to do so if I couldn't get in 2008 fall admission. Thanks.

i think it depends on the state you live in, i got certified working under registered pharmacist...ask the nearest walgreens

Yes, I'm happy with the progress so far during the post-Henry era. Hopefully, Wenger will stay if there is a takeover (d**n Americans!🙂🙂)

Where are you from since I noticed that you said that "it was tough to be pharmacist here"?

Your pharm tech position will be a good boost if you stick with it and if you don't let it make your grades suffer. You work at both Walgreens and CVS? Wow......

As for PCAT preparation, you want those bare bones courses (Gen bio, cell bio, gen chem, organic chem, math up to calc I) along with some booster courses (anal. chem, calc II, a/p). You may be fine if those four courses only provide background information for the PCAT. Remember, the PCAT tests content more likely to be taught during the first two years of undergrad.

,,for my bachelor i have org chem 1, general chem 1, all biology, i am studying from kaplan book and am not putting pressure on my self for now , i want to memorize the kaplan and then practice practice,,i finished my degree overseas, yeah i work at both pharmacies cvs and walgreens do you think this will help working in both ?

You'll have retail experience either way, so it's not a huge boost to your application. It can help you decide if you like retail or not, which you can attest to in your PS and/or interview.
no no i meant will this help my application since am working in two pharmacy stores?
