I have recieved 9/12 secondaries and I'm beginning to worry about the others. Is it rude to call and make sure the admissions office received my AMCAS? One of them is a state school that gives secondaries to all in-state applicants, so I'm afraid they forgot me. Am I just being paranoid?

I am wondering the same thing ... I submitted August 2 and have not heard from Louisville, which is a state school and doesn't screen. I added five more schools August 17 and have no secondaries even from the nonscreening ones (Pritzker, Saint Louis, Emory). I don't know if I should worry or if it just takes a while for the schools to get around to sending secondaries at this time of year.

(So, if it makes you feel any better, I only have 2/9 secondaries. gah.)

I don't know...I don't want to seem pushy, but I know the instate secondary requires a residency certificate (or something like that) and an essay, and I would like to get that out of the way before my classes get more difficult. Oh well...guess no one knows what to do!

This is your application and you must own it! meaning after a good amount of time has passed and you have heard nothing then yes, you should politely call and ask. I was super anal retentive with my application last year and made sure everything was received in a timely manner. Sometimes mistakes do happen and things get missplaced.
