CU doesn't give us a spring break or a break between spring and summer semesters. I'm really struggling with stress, burnout and almost at a point of having a mental breakdown. We also have classes on some Saturdays. So it feels like there's no time to rest and recharge. Any other schools operating the same way due to the pandemic? Any way to find support?
Feeling hopeless rn. Any help or support is appreciated. 😭

Every university has a mental support options - use them. Eat better and exercise. Try to accept the reality, it could have been better, but it could also have been much much worse. At least they try to cram everything in a regular timeline and don't make it a year or two longer. Please, do yourself a favor and change your outlook on life - see more positive, even if it's hard to see

Does CU stand for Colorado?

I'm grateful for all that our faculty do for us and that this is as hard for them as it is for us. But, with the schedules and overwhelming demands put on the school, their resources (including the mental health ones) are spread thin. When help is available, we aren't. Because of restricted access and sim time, most evenings are spent practicing. So we barely have time to get the help that we need.

We lost our break between spring and summer class too, but we got to keep our spring break in a couple of weeks. I understand the schools are trying to help us get our requirements so we can graduate on time, but it can be challenging for the students. Can't forget that the faculty lost their break also.

omg noo🙁 we have spring break in 2 weeks and no summer semester either! I hope it gets better, try to find joy in the small things everyday.

You have medical insurance and can use outside mental help
