So I am trying to apply for an MS4 rotation at UCLA's Olive View Medical Center. However I go to school on the east coast. I have been trying for months to figure out their fingerprint background check requirements. Have any other out-of-staters done a rotation at Olive View? And if so how did you fulfill the CA background check requirements?
In their freakishly long instructions page they say that I have to have my fingerprints taken on a livescan machine at a local police department or government agency, which must then be electronically transmitted to the CA DOJ for FBI clearance. In addition, I have to request a UCLA fingerprint packet in order to have manual fingerprint rolling done, which must be mailed in for CA DOJ clearance. Problem is 1) no local agencies I have spoke with transmit electronic fingerprints to out-of-state agencies and 2) No one at the UCLA HR department has ever heard of this DOJ fingerprint packet, despite it being described on their website.
There must be a way for out-of-state students to get clearance to rotate at UCLA OVMC. Problem is no one (including myself!) seems to know how! Has anyone had any success with this? Thanks!
