Hi there!

I’ll be a reapplicant this upcoming cycle and am looking to improve my activities. I’ve received and seen feedback on other posts about getting non clinical volunteer experience.

In high school, I volunteered with Habitat for Humanity for 1 week during the summer (for 2 summers), and am thinking of volunteering again with this organization. Would this fulfill the non clinical hours that some schools look for? I know most recommend activities like soup kitchen or shelter volunteering.

I also will have 400+ hours of Crisis Text Line, non clinical volunteering, on my application. However, I think some schools prefer in person activities.

Please let me know your thoughts! Thank you

Yes that will qualify

Yep! That was my main nonclinical volunteering. Keep in mind you would still need to rack up a certain amount of hours (200 ish) by application time and I'm not certain how feasible that will be if you are volunteering only on build days which are only a few times a month (but thats location dependent so maybe not).

I have a high regard for H4H, so this is a fine nonclinical EC
