Want to ask for advice what's a fair non compete in a major city in Texas for a part time job 1 day a week.

I have my own job, and is a partner at my own practice, looking to expand and diversify my income stream.

Right now the proposed is 15 miles. I was thinking of 5 miles but it goes away after 1 year.

Appreciate any input, thanks

One day a week should be no non compete. More than one day Then can talk about a non compete

No non-compete, just note stating you will not take patients to your other job or facility.

Take patient to my job is not likely, my own practice is about 35 miles away in a different part of the town. But yeah I just didn't want to limit myself if something were to happen to my practice, and I can't practice in the area

In negotiations now, non compete is 25 miles from main site which would likely box me out if I left. Can I ask for the non compete to be voided if they 1. They sell the company (or maybe wording of majority of the company 2. Owner retires.

You can but then it makes it increasingly harder For the current ownerto sell because I don’t have control over the physicians
